Women's Retreat

This last weekend I went on our Cru Women's Retreat.
It was held in Sun River, which is about a 2.5-3hr drive for those who do not stop much or for very long. We made it there in 5hrs. Needless to say we stopped a few times on the way there, but I guess that should be expected we are women.

Our time there was fast, but also good fro building friendships and getting to know new people. We had two speakers: Erin spoke about the importance of friendships with women and Leslie spoke about our relationship with God. Both talks were challenging.

Here are some Pics:

Empty
Nothing, Needing
Lost
Unaware, Unfilled
Ineffective
Desperate, Deprived

Snow Day!
If you can't guess by the title...It snowed today (well actually last night)!
We were all so excited, especially Lyndsay because she didn't have to go to work today.
So to start off the day right, we went frolicking in the show, then made a snowman that we name Tommy the truck driver...Then we went inside to warm up, have hot chocolate and watch a movie.

What a great day! I love the snow! Here are some pictures from the day.
Looking our my bedroom window.

Thoughts
Do you ever just sit and do nothing, though you know there were millions of things
you should be doing or thinking about?
There are times when I am in a daze and I know I need to accomplish something,
but I don't know what that something is...

This last week my sister came to visit me! She arrived on her birthday so we went to the OMSI museum, drove to Corvallis, watched movies and had a chocolate cake...Throughout the week we went to see the play Little Women, went to a game night and we redecorated my room or rather put up decorations. Annie also made amazing dinners and fixed our washer!!! Yeah for that! Here are some Pics of my newly furnished walls. :-)

2007!!!!?

It is hard to believe it is already 2007!!!
How can that be?! Time flies way too quickly.
Additionally I turned 24! That's right I am almost 25
which mean I am getting close to 30!

As I feel asleep that night I was thinking about being 24
and how different I feel from what I thought I would by the time I got to this age.
Let me explain: I had ideas of what I would be like or act like and they just don't add up
to who I am right now...I wanted to be more

Sophisticated or mature, but I am

Just me with all my immaturities and non-sofictication...I guess I wanted

to wake up and be someone who knew where she was going in life and has everything together,
But I think in the real world those things are just another allusion never to be obtained.

Anyway turning 24 hasn't been bad at all: I did get to go to lunch with friends
and dance the morning away.

Lastly, although it is late I want to wish you all a Happy New Year!

COLLIDE 06
Dec 28, 2006-Jan 1, 2007

There were 530 students and 150 staff at the conference. Throughout the days sent there we had speakers, a day of outreach, a prayer journey, art room, hangout room and mostly time to connect with God.

Dance party on New Years Eve, we stayed up until 3:30AM

On New Year's Eve The students were asked to make a commitment to God...Hundreds have said yes to going on either summer project, STINT or going back on campus this next semester with the primary purpose of serving God.
God did so much during this Conference as
He Collided with the Students there.

Christmas!
I know that it has been a while, so I will catch you up with what has been going on. I flew home to Reno on the 17th as a surprise! It was so much fun only my brother knew I was coming home for Christmas. He picked me up at the airport and then I called my mom when I was alsmost home; I rang the door bell and she was shocked to see me there. My dad was speachless (or maybe he was just waking up from a nap so he was tired). My sister gave me a huge hug, she was also very surprised. I would have to say mission accomplished.

Here are pics of my house all decorated for Christmas...the tree is about 16feet high.

My dad got an inflatable snowman and glob for Christmas... Posted by Picasa
