Tea Party
On Saturday I went to a tea party with these two lovely girls 8 and 6. I had a wonderful time drinking orange spice tea and talking about our favorite subject in school, which of course was recess. We ate crackers with meat and cheese and mini butter fingers for dessert. Overall it was a fine tea party and I hope to go to another one soon.

Footprints on the Shore
Reflecting on the last year and a half of my life I have continually seen only one set of footprints in the sand. It has been hard to see where and if God is truly moving in me and walking with me. Yet I know deep down he is there. I see His work in the lives of others and glimpses of it in my own. Sometimes I wonder if God is who is says he is or if I am who he says I am. I doubt him, I run from him, I linger in places I shouldn't be in, I grieve his heart, But through it all God carries me, he calls me and whispers my names with great affection and love. He brings me to places of hope, when I need it the most; God lifts me up and dries my tears, he pursues me with a passion I hardly comprehend, but most of all he is faithful to reach out for my heart even when I hide it deep in the vast shores of my blackened soul.

Oh Lord you beckon me, strengthen me and pursue the vast depths of my inner being; you alone wash away the guilt and burden I carry; You are my king, my love, my hope, my shelter and my Redeemer. I know you hear the cries of my heart so I will continue to walk along the shore you have designed for me, as rocky as it may be. Be my light and my life, my gracious Lord and King.

Fishing
One of the highlights from the trip was fishing on the Pacific Ocean, although the main purpose of our outing was to go snorkeling. But as you can see I not only went fishing I went catching. I caught this tuna!!! It was so awesome and a direct answer to prayer. God is so great because he cares enough to allow me to catch a fish. God really made my day in that moment!

La Playa (The Beach)

After the students left we (the staff team) went to the beach for some time for relaxing.
It was beautiful!!! Here are some Pictures:

Costa Rica:
I got back on Monday night from our spring break trip.
There were 23 of us who went down to Costa Rica to help with the ministry there.
Much of our time was spent at the University of Costa Rica (UCR)
talking with students about their beliefs and sharing with
them how they can know God personally.
While we were there 50 students heard the gospel and 7 prayed to receive Christ!!!

It was not only great to see the lives of Tico (Costa Rican) student's change,
but also the lives of those who came with us. So many of our students were
sharing their faith for the first time! During the short time there
God began to stir in the students a heart to share with
others the truth they know inside them.

The vast majority of students come from a Catholic background as 70% of the Country would consider themselves catholic. Yet as I talked with students and heard their thoughts, I was struck by the need for a savior. Even with hearing about God they were missing the link of Christ and the satisfaction of knowing God in a personal way.
On Campus at UCR: There are 35,000 students that attend UCR and considered the Harvard of Central America and Even possibly all of South America. Many of the political leaders graduate from UCR.
Our last night there we had a goodbye party with some of the
students we meet during the time we were there.
